Tractate Moed Katan (“Minor Holiday”) is located in Seder Moed (“the Order of Festivals”). The tractate’s first two chapters discuss the laws of Chol Hamoed, or the intermediate days of Passover and Sukkot, with a focus on permitted and prohibited work on these days. The last chapter discusses laws of mourning, ex-communication, leprosy and stories about the deaths of different talmudic sages.
