לָ֠כֵ֠ן יִתֵּ֨ן אֲדֹנָ֥י ה֛וּא לָכֶ֖ם א֑וֹת הִנֵּ֣ה הָעַלְמָ֗ה הָרָה֙ וְיֹלֶ֣דֶת בֵּ֔ן וְקָרָ֥את שְׁמ֖וֹ עִמָּ֥נוּ אֵֽל׃
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, the young woman is with child, and she will bear a son, and shall call his name ῾Immanu᾽el.
וְחָלַ֤ף בִּֽיהוּדָה֙ שָׁטַ֣ף וְעָבַ֔ר עַד־צַוָּ֖אר יַגִּ֑יעַ וְהָיָה֙ מֻטּ֣וֹת כְּנָפָ֔יו מְלֹ֥א רֹחַב־אַרְצְךָ֖ עִמָּ֥נוּ אֵֽל׃ {ס}
and he shall sweep through Yehuda; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck, and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O ῾Immanu᾽el.
עֻ֥צוּ עֵצָ֖ה וְתֻפָ֑ר דַּבְּר֤וּ דָבָר֙ וְלֹ֣א יָק֔וּם כִּ֥י עִמָּ֖נוּ אֵֽל׃ {ס}
Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.
Targum Jonathan
(יד) בְּכֵן יִתֵּן יְיָ הוּא לְכוֹן אָתָא הָא עוּלֶמְתָּא מְעַדְיָא וּתְלִיד בַּר וְתִקְרֵי שְׁמֵיהּ עִמָנוּאֵל:
(14) Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a young woman shall conceive, and bear a son, and she shall call His name Immanuel.
וְיַעְדֵי בְאַרְעָא דְבֵית יְהוּדָה כְּנַחַל מְגַבֵּר עַד יְרוּשְׁלֵם יִמְטֵי וִיהֵי עַם מַשִׁרְיָתֵיהּ מָלֵי פְתָאֵי אַרְעָךְ עִמָנוּ אֵל:
And he shall pass through the land of the house of Judah as an overflowing torrent, unto Jerusalem shall he come; and the people of his army shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Israel.
Take counsel together, yet it shall pass away; speak the word, and it shall not be established, because God is our help.

וַיִּרְא֥וּ אַנְשֵֽׁי־אַשְׁדּ֖וֹד כִּֽי־כֵ֑ן וְאָמְר֗וּ לֹֽא־יֵשֵׁ֞ב אֲר֨וֹן אֱלֹהֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ עִמָּ֔נוּ כִּֽי־קָשְׁתָ֤ה יָדוֹ֙ עָלֵ֔ינוּ וְעַ֖ל דָּג֥וֹן אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃
And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Yisra᾽el shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.
יְהִ֨י יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ עִמָּ֔נוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הָיָ֖ה עִם־אֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ אַל־יַעַזְבֵ֖נוּ וְאַֽל־יִטְּשֵֽׁנוּ׃
