(1) A song of ascents.
Out of the depths I call You, Adonai. (2) O Adonai, listen to my cry;
let Your ears be attentive
to my plea for mercy. (3) If You keep account of sins, Adonai
My lord, who will survive? (4) Yours is the power to forgive
so that You may be held in awe.
(5) I look to Adonai;
I look to God;
I await God's word. (6) I am more eager for my lord than watchmen for the morning,
watchmen for the morning.
(7) O Israel, wait for Adonai;
for with Adonai is steadfast love
and great power to redeem. (8) It is God who will redeem Israel from all their iniquities.
(1) A psalm of thanksgiving
Raise a shout for Adonai, all the earth; (2) serve Adonai in gladness;
come into God's presence with shouts of joy. (3) Acknowledge that Adonai is God;
God made us and we are God's,
God's people, the flock God tends. (4) Enter God's gates with praise,
God's courts with acclamation.
Praise God!
Bless God's name! (5) For Adonai is good;
God's steadfast love is eternal;
God's faithfulness is for all generations.
