Parashat Naso 5782
(כב) וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ (כג) דַּבֵּ֤ר אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹן֙ וְאֶל־בָּנָ֣יו לֵאמֹ֔ר כֹּ֥ה תְבָרְכ֖וּ אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אָמ֖וֹר לָהֶֽם׃ {ס} (כד) יְבָרֶכְךָ֥ יְהֹוָ֖ה וְיִשְׁמְרֶֽךָ׃ {ס} (כה) יָאֵ֨ר יְהֹוָ֧ה ׀ פָּנָ֛יו אֵלֶ֖יךָ וִֽיחֻנֶּֽךָּ׃ {ס} (כו) יִשָּׂ֨א יְהֹוָ֤ה ׀ פָּנָיו֙ אֵלֶ֔יךָ וְיָשֵׂ֥ם לְךָ֖ שָׁלֽוֹם׃ {ס} (כז) וְשָׂמ֥וּ אֶת־שְׁמִ֖י עַל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַאֲנִ֖י אֲבָרְכֵֽם׃ {ס}

The LORD spoke to Moses: Speak to Aaron and his sons: Thus shall you bless the people of Israel. Say to them: The LORD bless you and protect you! The LORD deal kindly and graciously with you! The LORD bestow His favor upon you and grant you peace! Thus they shall link My name with the people of Israel, and I will bless them.

ואני אברכם. לְיִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאַסְכִּים עִם הַכֹּהֲנִים; דָּ"אַ, וַאֲנִי אֲבָרְכֵם — לַכֹּהֲנִים (חולין מ"ט):
ואני אברכם AND I WILL BLESS THEM — i.e. I will bless the Israelites: I will give My approval to the priests’ blessings (lit., I will agree with the priests). — Another explanation of “And I will bless them” is: “And I will bless the priests (Chullin 49a).
אברכם לכהנים. דלפי טעם הראשון יהיה ואני אברכם פירוש אסכים עמהם וזה נראה דוחק לכן פי' ד"א. ולפירוש האחרון לחוד קשה דמשמעות הקרא הוא דקאי על ישראל ולא על הכהנים, לכך צריך גם לפירוש ראשון:
[And I] will bless them—the kohanim. According to the first explanation the words “And I will bless them” means that I will concur with them, but this appears forced therefore Rashi says another interpretation. According to the last explanation there is also a difficulty: The implication of the verse is that it refers to Yisroel and not to the kohanim, therefore the first explanation was also required.
