So Noah came out, together with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives. Every animal, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that stirs on earth came out of the ark by families. Then Noah built an altar to Adonai and, taking of every clean animal and of every clean bird, he offered burnt offerings on the altar. Adonai smelled the pleasing odour, and Adonai said to their heart: “Never again will I doom the earth because of people, since the devisings of the human mind are evil from youth; nor will I ever again destroy every living being, as I have done. So long as the earth endures, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Summer and winter, Day and night Shall not cease.”
DAY AND NIGHT SHALL NOT CEASE — From this we may infer that they ceased during the period of the Flood, for the planetary system did not function, and there was no distinction between day and night (Genesis Rabbah 34:11).
... Rabbi Yochanan said: the celestial spheres did not move that entire twelve months. Rabbi Yonatan said to him: they did move, but their movements were not marked. "(So long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night) shall not cease" (Gen 8:22) - Rabbi Eliezer and Rabbu Yehoshua dispute. Rabbi Eliezer said: shall not cease, from here [we infer] that they did not cease. And Rabbi Yehoshua: shall not cease, from here [we infer] that they did cease.
צהר תעשה לתיבה “you are to provide means of illumination for the ark.” This is the window that Noah used later on to send the raven and the dove. During the period that this window was kept closed he suspended in that area a jewel which to illuminate the inside for them. When we understand this in this manner, our sages, some of whom spoke only of the jewel and others only of the “window,” are both correct, except that neither of them gave us the full explanation. And according to the simple meaning "you are to provide illumination for the ark" is related to Yitzhar, pure oil, you are to make oil for the needs of the ark to illuminate it. And you can't explain that it was a window to a illuminate it and let in light, for the whole time the planetary system did not move clearly all the days of the flood.

"Whilst positive affect and high arousal are associated with time passing more quickly than normal, negative affect and low arousal are associated with time passing more slowly than normal. People with depression report that time passes more slowly than normal during episodes of depression [24–26]. Time also passes more slowly than normal for hospitalized oncology patients, with lower levels of wellbeing being associated with greater slowing of time [27]. In non-clinical populations, self-reported negative affect (sadness) and low levels of arousal are predictive of a slowing of the passage of time in the present moment [14, 15, 21] and when retrospectively judging the passage of time during previous life events [1]. Boredom has also been consistently associated with a slowing of the passage of time in a range of laboratory and real-world studies [1, 28–30]. Conversely however, time is also reported to slow down in situations of mortal peril, for example, car accidents, suggesting that the relationship between arousal and the passage of time may be complex [31]."
