The others respond:
יְהִי שֵׁם יְהֹוָה מְבֹרָךְ The Name of Adonoy will be blessed
מֵעַתָּה וְעַד עוֹלָם: from now forever.
The leader repeats:
יְהִי שֵׁם יְהֹוָה מְבֹרָךְ The Name of Adonoy will be blessed
מֵעַתָּה וְעַד עוֹלָם: from now forever.
and proceeds:
נוֹדֶה לְשִׁמְךָ We give thanks to Your Name
בְּתוֹךְ אֱמוּנַי, in the midst of our faithful ones,
בְּרוּכִים אַתֶּם לַיהֹוָה: blessed are You unto Adonoy.
בִּרְשׁוּת אֵל With permission of the Almighty
אָיוֹם וְנוֹרָא, Who is fearful and awesome
מִשְׂגָּב לְעִתּוֹת בַּצָּרָה, (our) refuge in times of trouble;
אֵל נֶאְזָר בִּגְבוּרָה, Almighty girded with strength
אַדִּיר בַּמָּרוֹם יְהֹוָה, mighty on high is Adonoy.
All respond:
נוֹדֶה לְשִׁמְךָ We give thanks to Your Name
בְּתוֹךְ אֱמוּנַי, in the midst of our faithful ones,
בְּרוּכִים אַתֶּם לַיהֹוָה: blessed are You unto Adonoy.
The leader continues:
בִּרְשׁוּת הַתּוֹרָה הַקְּ֒דוֹשָׁה, With permission of the holy Torah
טְהוֹרָה הִיא וְגַם פְּרוּשָׁה, (which is) pure and clear,
צִוָּה לָֽנוּ מוֹרָשָׁה, it was commanded to us as a heritage
משֶׁה עֶֽבֶד יְהֹוָה, by Moses, servant of Adonoy.
All respond:
נוֹדֶה לְשִׁמְךָ We gave thanks to Your Name
בְּתוֹךְ אֱמוּנַי, in the midst of our faithful ones,
בְּרוּכִים אַתֶּם לַיהֹוָה: blessed are You unto Adonoy.
The leader continues:
בִּרְשׁוּת הַכֹּהֲנִים With permission of the Kohanim
וְהַלְ֒וִיִּם, and the Levites,
אֶקְרָא לֵאלֹהֵי הָעִבְרִיִּים, I call upon the God of the Hebrews;
אֲהוֹדֶנּוּ בְּכָל אִיִּים, I declare His glory in all the isles,
אֲבָרְכָה אֶת יְהֹוָה, I attribute blessing to Adonoy.
All respond:
נוֹדֶה לְשִׁמְךָ We give thanks to Your Name
בְּתוֹךְ אֱמוּנַי, in the midst of our faithful ones,
בְּרוּכִים אַתֶּם לַיהֹוָה: blessed are you unto Adonoy.
The leader continues:
בִּרְשׁוּת With your permission
מָרָנָן וְרַבָּנָן וְרַבּוֹתַי, our masters and teachers,
אֶפְתַּח פִּי בְּשִׁיר וּשְׂפָתַי, I open my mouth and lips with song,
וְתֹאמַֽרְנָה עַצְמוֹתַי, and my bones shall proclaim:
בָּרוּךְ הַבָּא blessed is he who comes
בְּשֵׁם יְהֹוָה, in the Name of Adonoy.
All respond:

The leader repeats:
בָּרוּךְ (בעשרה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ) Blessed is our God,
שֶֽׁאָכַֽלְנוּ מִשֶּׁלּוֹ for we have eaten of His bounty
וּבְטוּבוֹ חָיִֽינוּ: and through His goodness we live.
Recite “Birchas Hamazon” on page 000.
After Birchas Hamazon, the leader says
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יְבָרֵךְ May the Merciful One bless
אֲבִי הַיֶּֽלֶד וְאִמּוֹ, the boy's father and mother
וְיִזְכּוּ לְגַדְּ֒לוֹ and may they merit to raise him,
וּלְחַנְּ֒כוֹ to educate him
וּלְחַכְּ֒מוֹ, and to rear him in wisdom.
מִיּוֹם הַשְּׁ֒מִינִי וָהָֽלְאָה From this eighth day onward
יֵרָצֶה דָמוֹ, may his blood find acceptance,
וִיהִי יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהָיו עִמּוֹ: and may Adonoy his God be with him.

הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יְבָרֵךְ May the Merciful One bless
בַּעַל בְּרִית הַמִּילָה, the sandak at the circumcision covenant,
אֲשֶׁר שָׂשׂ לַעֲשׂוֹת who happily performed
צֶֽדֶק בְּגִילָה, this righteous deed in joy.
וִישַׁלֵּם פָּעֳלוֹ May he be rewarded for his deed
וּמַשְׂכֻּרְתּוֹ כְּפוּלָה, with doubled recompense,
וְיִתְּנֵֽהוּ לְמַֽעֲלָה לְמָֽעְלָה: and exalt him higher and higher.

רַךְ the tender infant
הַנִּמּוֹל לִשְׁמֹנָה, who has been circumcised on his eighth day;
וְיִהְיוּ יָדָיו וְלִבּוֹ לְאֵל אֱמוּנָה, may his hands and heart be faithful to God,
וְיִזְכֶּה לִרְאוֹת פְּנֵי הַשְּׁ֒כִינָה, may he merit to behold the Divine Presence,
שָׁלשׁ פְּעָמִים בַּשָּׁנָה: three times a year.37Reference is made to the three festivals of Pesach, Shavuos and Sukkos, when Jews are required to perceive of God in the Beis Hamikdosh in Jerusalem. See Deuteronomy 16:16.

הַמָּל בְּשַׂר הָעָרְלָה the mohel who circumcised the uncut flesh
וּפָרַע וּמָצַץ and lifted it off and sucked forth
דְּמֵי הַמִּילָה, the blood of the circumcision.
אִישׁ הַיָּרֵא וְרַךְ הַלֵּבָב the service of the timid or faint-hearted
עֲבוֹדָתוֹ פְּסוּלָה, is unfit
אִם שְׁלָשׁ אֵֽלֶּה if these three essential acts
לֹא יַֽעֲשֶׂה לָּהּ: are not performed.

הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יִשְׁלַח לָֽנוּ מְשִׁיחוֹ May the Merciful One send us His Messiah,
הוֹלֵךְ תָּמִים, who walks in perfect wholesomeness,
בִּזְכוּת חֲתַן לַמּוּלוֹת דָּמִים, in the merit of the blood of circumcision,
לְבַשֵּׁר בְּשׂוֹרוֹת טוֹבוֹת to bring good tidings
וְנִחוּמִים, and consolations
לְעַם אֶחָד to the que people (who are)
מְפֻזָּר וּמְפֹרָד בֵּין הָעַמִּים: dispersed and scattered among the nations.

הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יִשְׁלַח לָֽנוּ May the Merciful One send us
כֹּהֵן צֶֽדֶק the righteous Kohein38Some consider this as a reference to the Prophet Elijah, who, according to one view, is considered a Kohein. Others understand it as a reference to Aaron, the original Kohein Gadol who is to come alive again after the coming of the Moshiach.
אֲשֶׁר לֻקַּח לְעֵילוֹם, who was taken and concealed [in heaven,39See II Kings 2:11. ]
עַד הוּכַן כִּסְאוֹ until his40The Moshiach’s throne. Cf. throne is established
כַּשֶּׁמֶשׁ וְיָהֲלוֹם, [bright] as the sun, [radiant] as a diamond;
וַיָּֽלֶט פָּנָיו בְּאַדַּרְתּוֹ he who covered his face with his cloak
וַיִּגְלוֹם, and enwrapped himself therein,41See II Kings 2:8.
בְּרִיתִי הָיְתָה אִתּוֹ My covenant was with him
הַחַיִּים וְהַשָּׁלוֹם: for life and peace.42See Malachi 2:5.
