Knowing God

The idea that one can know God is a delicate proposition. Jewish tradition regards God as beyond comprehension, yet biblical texts encourage seeking God. Various Jewish texts describe ways to gain a better understanding of God and enhance knowledge of God, such as through meditation, asking philosophical questions, Torah study, or observation of the natural world.
