Rabbi Yehuda bar Simon said another: This is analogous to a king who had precious stones and pearls. His son came and said to him: ‘Give it to me.’ He said to him: ‘It is for you, it is yours, and to you I give it .’ Thus, Israel said before the Holy Blessed One : “God is my strength [ozi] and song” (Exodus 15:2). The Blessed Holy One said to them: ‘It is for you, it is yours, and to you I give it .’ Oz is nothing other than Torah, “The Lord will give strength [oz] to his people” (Psalms 29:11).

The God of my father’s [house], and I will exalt Him.
may the LORD bestow on His people wellbeing.
