About This Text
Composed: 2023 CE
The Kehot Chumash: A Chasidic Commentary is a 21st-century commentary from Chabad House Publications, printed as part of the Kehot interpolated Torah translation. The commentary provides in-depth coverage of topics deemed too lengthy to be included in the interpolated translation and is generally based on Rashi’s explanations of Torah passages. It also includes a sampling of teachings from Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson (the last rebbe of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, known as “the Rebbe”) and his predecessors about the relevance of select Torah passages, as well as overviews of each Torah portion.
