Author: Shneur Zalman of Liadi
Seder Birkat HaNehenin is an early 19th-century work by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the founder of Chabad Chasidut, containing laws about blessings recited over things or experiences from which one derives pleasure, such as eating, drinking, or seeing a wondrous aspect of nature. First printed in 1805 as part of the "Piskei HaSiddur," which was incorporated into Shneur Zalman’s prayer book, it was reprinted in 1822 as its own work. The work aims to instruct the reader practically. It is terse and direct in its language.
