Reading of the Genizah fragment. In both mss., ר׳ חייה בשם is missing but is required by the next sentence. Similarly, only the Geniza ms. reads יסא in the next sentence but even it reads יוסי in the last. But even there, one must read יסא for יוסי the last two times. R. Zeïra must have been very old when he was walking supported by his student’s student R. Yose while he himself was mainly a student of R. Assi’s contemporary R. Ḥiyya bar Abba.
