About This Text
Author: Shalom Buzaglo
Mikdash Melekh is the first published systematic commentary on the entire Zohar. It was compiled in the 18th century by the Moroccan kabbalist Rabbi Shalom Buzaglo. Buzaglo synthesized material from three earlier works: Leket Shoshanim by Rabbi Jacob Pinto and Rabbi Yeshaya HaKohen, Rabbi Moshe Zechut’s Zohar commentary entitled Mikdash Hashem, and pieces of Rabbi Isaac Luria’s teachings about the Zohar.
